We are Jarktagons

Jarktagons live in the interstices

Others have described us as:

A loosely bound melange of in-between forms;
Meta-shapes who abound in ivory castles,
and issue forth a myriad of kindly frequencies.
From vessels made of bone, skin, steel and gut.
With hearts that live as beats full of blood.
To drive a sonic beastiary  that writhes and twists with riffs.
And roams emergently, nomadically.
In search of a home ,
in you.

Bio:

Jarktagons are an ambient and new music ensemble from the SF Bay Area. An astromaniacal emergence brought them into being in 2007 when musical ties of both strength and subtlety were formed between friends and co-workers Wayne Grim [Interloper, Blakc Pullet Grimoire] and Ronald Aveling [Left Sensory Bypass].  An emphasis on composition through live improvisation and experimental recording methodologies precipitated the production of their first “Self-Titled” album throughout 2008-2009. Following its completion, their second recording involved an isolationist retreat to the Mendocino Mountains in late 2009 and completion of the single-track, forty minute long player – “Iron Peak Glass House”.  In late 2009 Jarktagons embraced the percussive and textural talents of Chris Golinski [Brains]. His dexterous touch brings depth, dynamism and new trajectories for the group. Jarktagons are now busy brewing new materials for recording and live performance during 2010.
